Read Receipt message locks up Outlook

Hi, all. Need help. I am running OL2002 sp1 in Exchange
5.5 sp3 environment.I have set all messages with Read
Receipt on.When the receipt messages come back into my
inbox and I highlight it (give it focus), Outlook totally
locks up-can't delete or anything. Have to force close in
Task Mgr. Outlook runs fine until I click on those return
receipts. What gives? You're higher knowledge is greatly
appreciated!!
