What is a read receipt? How does it work? Does the other
person actually have to send it or does it just happen
when it is opened on the other end?
You can request a read receipt with any message that you send. When the
recipient receives your message, their mail program will either
automatically send you a receipt back (this will ONLY happen if they've
opted to send a read receipt if requested for ALL requests) or they will be
asked if they want to send you a read receipt. Depending on their decision,
you MAY get a read receipt. Or, you may not. Their decision.
