ReadAsPlain = 1 not working?

I am trying to turn off HTML in incoming messages in Outlook 2002 (SP2
installed).

I have added the DWORD "ReadAsPlain" and set it to 1 in my registry
at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Options\Mail

I've closed/opened Outlook, restarted Windows XP, etc. and yet HTML is
still active on my incoming mail.

What else could be missing here? Any help appreciated!
