reading powerpoint file written in foreigh langugae

I received a ppt file in which the text was written in a foreign language.
I have installed that language in my computer and in fact, if I select some
text in the ppt slide, and select the Tools/Language to the desired language,
I can see the text clearly in that language.

How do I set the language so that I will see all the slides in that language?

What language is that you "cant see"?

I'm currently working on an add in that may help and I'd appreciate you

The language I am interested is "telugu" -- a south Indian language.
But I thought the procedure for viewing should be independent of the language.
