Rebuild and Identity Switch Crashes Entourage

Hi,

One of the Apple updates (I think one of the Security Updates) in the last
two months resulted the in inability to Rebuild the Entourage Database or
Create a New Identity.

I have removed Office v.X, reloaded Office v.X, trashed Entourage
preferences, applied the 10.3.6 combo updater - all with no luck.

My database functions properly and Entourage works fine, however I cannot
get to the rebuild database screen. Entourage crashes as it is being
displayed. It also crashes a few seconds after you press the "New" identity
button and the New Identity for is displayed.

Any ideas short of reloading OS X?

Hi Jay,

Move the Entourage preferences file to the desktop and check.

User Home
folder:Library:preferences:Microsoft:com.microsoft.Entourage.prefs.plist
User Home
folder:Library:preferences:Microsoft:com.microsoft.Office.prefs.plist
User Home folder:Library:preferences:Microsoft:Microsoft Office Settings

Hi Anand,

I do not have the first two files. I moved the whole Microsoft Preferences
Folder to the desktop and still have the same results. Thanks for the
suggestion.

I am using Office (10), so perhaps that is why some of the files do not
exist.

Did you ever figure out how to get your Entourage working? I'm having the
same problems today. I was able to do a database rebuild, but mine crashes
when I hit the send and receive button.
