Rebuild database, lose newsgroup subscription info

Whenever I'm forced to rebuild my Entourage database, I lose all my
newsgroup subscriptions. It's a real inconvenience. Not only do I have to
resubscribe, but I have to then figure out which of the thousands of
messages I've read and which ones I haven't.

Any solution?

Add to the inconveniences Jim Karpen mentioned the tedium and pain for those
of us with tendonitis and carpal-tunnel pains of having to set anew for
*EACH* newsgroup to which one subscribes ALL the view preferences.

Please?
