Rebuilding failed

Hi all,

I'm having some problems with my Entourage:

When I try to open it shows one message:

Entourage cannot access you data. To attempt to fix the
problem rebuil your database.

If I chose to rebuild a new message pops up:

A read/write error has occurred (-40)

Rebuilding failed. It's likely that your database cannot
be repaired

The database had 1.99 Gb, I don't Know if this file had a
limit, like the PST from Microsoft Outlook.

Any Kind of help is welcome

Note: reply me to my e-mail [email protected]

Thanks in advance

Try fixing permissions folder by folder, file by file in the
user/Documents/Microsoft User Data folder

See this page for some tips if you're running OS X.
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/error/page.html#error-40>

If you're running OS 8 or 9 and Entourage 2001, that won't apply to you. In
that case, launch Disk First Aid (HD/Applications/Utilities/Disk First Aid
or HD/Utilities/Disk First Aid), select your drive at the top, and click the
"Repair" button.
The database had 1.99 Gb, I don't Know if this file had a
limit, like the PST from Microsoft Outlook.

The database size limit is explained on my site under the "Compress the
Database" section.

If you're running Entourage 2001, there's likely nothing you can do. In the
future, be sure to rebuild and archive data if you near 2 GB.

If you're running Entourage X, download and install the latest Office X
updates, which are 10.1.2, 10.1.4, and 10.1.5 (10.1.3 is unnecessary).
They¹re available from Microsoft.

Now try using your database. If it is still unusable, try rebuilding it
again, as the updated version has an improved rebuilding engine.
