Is there a way to change the subject of a single occurnace in a
reccuring event--I was able to do it in outlook but can't figure it out
in entourage--all it will let me change is the date and time.

No. You can delete that instance and create another event in the same time
slot with a different name though.

I'm thinking it's possible to make a "positive exception" by moving that one
event to a different time. Then you should be able to change the subject and
move it back to the original time and it will be considered to be a one-time
exception to the general recurrance.

If you subsequently delete the series, the exception should also be deleted.
