Is it possible to request a read receipt for certain messages as they are

When in Outlook's compose editor (I don't know about using Word as the
e-mail editor), used the View -> Options menu to select the "request
read receipt" option.

I know that process but it changes the selection for all messages, so u have
to go back in and in check. There should be a simpler way!!!

Doesn't stick for me. I open a new mail message window, selected
View -> Options, enabled read receipt, and sent the test message (to
ensure that cancelling the message did not also cancel my option
changes). I then created another new mail, selected View -> Options,
and the read receipt option was NOT still enabled. It was back to the
globally configured default of disabled.
