Received Date on Sent Mail

J

Jeff

Hi Folks,

This may be an Exchange thing, but thought I'd check here first since
I'm here digging around anyway...

In my Sent Mail folder, some of the items have a "Received Date". The
items were not sent high priority or requesting conformation or
anything. So, how does Entourage (our email server?) know when another
email server got it? And, why isn't it consistant?

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi Jeff!

Entourage's Received Date is the date it downloaded the message from
your server (or in this case it's the same as your Sent date). Using the
Received column in Sent Items doesn't really make much sense. I suggest
using View --> Columns, removing Received and showing Sent.

Hope this helps!
