Receiving e-mail attachments with every virus scan

I keep receiving the attachment icons on each of my outlook messages, which
are virus scans. All of my e-mails have this, which makes it difficult
filtering through e-mails to find e-mails with proper file attachments.

Anyone able to help remove the attachment icon without disabling my virus
scanner?

I use AVG

i know if i disable the virus scan the attachments stop, but thats not really
valuable, i'd rather have the virus scan on

Uninstall AVG and reinstall it without the mail scanning feature. You will
be just as protected. If you loathe to do that, disable the certification
message.
