Receiving lots of attachments

In a list serve group I belong to I was set up to receive a "traditional
digest".

Well I started to get too much html, so I opted for the digest (MIME
format) which is (no html)

But then every message in the digest came as an attachment, which list owner
says was fault of my computer not the digest.

Anyone know a bit about this? Thanks.

That is what a MIME digest is - a message with each sub-message attached as
a separate MIME part.

If you handle this mailing list with a Mailing List Manger rule, it can be
set to automatically split the digest into individual messages, on receipt.

Thanks Barry:
Ok, I read the help blurb, and have done rules in the past.

Should I make a rule for this group, and then select remove attachments? Is
that you are leading to?

No, not a rule, a Mailing List Manager entry. Select 'mailing list manager'
from the tools menu...

Ok Barry, looked at that. Just says you can move the e mails, and set
category. Don't see anything about making those attachments go away.
