receiving older messages

I just started using entourage to organize an email account that I've
had since September 06. Entourage only received my messages from
2007. Anything before that, it won't "receive." even though they are
on the server. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Under the Account Options tab, select "Allow Online Access". This will
create an icon in the folder bar that allows Entourage to see mail on the
server. It's very similar to an IMAP account.

Can Entourage see those messages? If you select "Get all messages left on
server" on the Options window, does Entourage download them?

I have "allow online access" checked, and when I hit the "get messages
left on server" button, it simply duplicates the 98 messages I already
have (those from 2007 only). If I click on the server icon on the
sidebar, it only shows me the 2007 messages.

Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure why Entourage is not downloading when you select get messages
left on server. Try this. Create a new Identity in Entourage. Download all
new messages into the new Identity. IF they don't download there, I would
test in Apple mail to see what happens. If they don't download there, then
you will need to contact your ISP.

You can move all the messages to your current Identity by dragging the
messages to the desktop as mbox files. You drag the mbox file into the
Entourage window of your current Identity.

Or you could use file export as Entourage archive and import into the other
Identity.
