I am having problems trying to source the file that holds all of your recent
email addresses, does anybody know how to find this so I can export them as
a text file?

Thanks

This page has lots of detail on the Most Recently Used list feature.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to export them to a text file. You
could address a message to everyone in the list using the AutoComplete
feature and then select all and add the recipients to the address book.
Then you could take advantage of the Export Contacts feature (File menu).

You wouldn't need to add them to the Address Book. After the tedious process
of adding each of them as a recipient to a new message (one by one), click
on a recipient, then cmd-A to select all, then drag them to the body of the
message, or to a TextEdit window. That puts them all as one continuous line
- which you can see more clearly if you make the message HTML or use
TextEdit. You then can insert line breaks by inserting carriage returns
(pressing Return) between each person.

Note that although they may appear just as a display name in the "To:" field
as recipients, as soon as you drag them to the message body or text you will
see both "Display Name" <email@address>.

If you do it in message body, you can copy and paste the finished version to
a TextEdit document. Best save as Plain Text (.txt) - in Format menu of
TextEdit - not as .rtf.
