Recently Used List issues

Erik Sojdelius

Hello! I'm new to this group and need a little help.

After switching from Office X to Office 2004 everything is correctly
imported except the "recently used adress" list. I have a significantly
shorter list when pressing the letter "a" in Office2004 than in OfficeX. Is
there a way to retrive the missing adresses?

Thanks in advance,

Probably not. Two things appear in that list: people in your Address
Book, and people you've corresponded with recently. Since you just
started using Office 2004, you haven't corresponded with anyone
recently, so those entries just aren't there yet. In other words, if you
want to guarantee someone's presence in the list, put that person in
your Address Book. m.

And look at it this way: anyone in the MRU list with whom you have not
corresponded very recently was going to drop off the list soon anyway, even
in X. (It's constantly changing, the weighting due to how recently you
corresponded with someone.) And if they are very frequent correspondents,
they'll write you soon, or you'll write them, and they'll be back on the
list in no time. As Matt says, if you want to make sure they don't drop off,
Add to Address Book. Better late than never.
