When receiving e-mail from my POP account, some e-mail
messages cause the reception process to stall. After
timeout, Outlook restarts reception from message number
one; it receives again all messages before the first one
causing the problem, then stalls, and so on.
Removing the troubled message, with the aid of my ISP's
webmail application, allows Outlook to successfully finish
the process. The troubled messages seem to be normal spam
ones, no apparent bugs on them.
The problem is so frequent that it renders Outlook useless
for e-mail reception. I have asked my ISP's customer
support for a solution, but they have no answer.
I would appreciate any help on this matter.
