Record and play events

Hi,

First, sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I would like to create a training tool that will allow me to showcase how an
Excel workbook functions (i.e. this macro on this button does this, this
button does that etc)

Is there a program in windows that will allow to record a series of actions…
so when played you can see the mouse curser move around and demonstrate the
key functionalities? Basically video record my actions for five minutes!

Only Windows 3.1 came with a utility like that, I suggest a 3rd party
software of your choosing

Actually, Microsoft's Windows Media Encoder is supposed to be able to do
that, and it's available for free download from Microsoft at:

I say "supposed to be able" because when I just tried it, it gives me error
messages. I'll have to try it on a different computer a little later and see
if it's an environment problem.
