Recovering Contacts

I'm using Entourage 2004 on OS X. I wanted to test drive a PDA
belonging to a friend of mine, so I installed the Microsoft sync
software and set it to overwrite the PDA data with the data in
Entourage. After syncing, I opened up Entourage and discovered that
all of my contacts and calendar items had disappeared. Does Entourage
put deleted contact/calendar items in another folder, so they can be
recovered? Or is there some utility that can help me recover all of
these items if they have been permanently deleted? Any help would be
greatly appreciated!

First, check out this help page about lost data, questions 4 and 5:

If you set Entourage to overwrite the PDA, no Entourage data should
have been deleted. It's more likely that somehow, Entourage has become
confused about your "identity".
