recovering deleted Imap account

I had a massive brain cramp and deleted an Imap account in Entourage
that I was using to hold some email archives. I suppose the answer to
the question is convulsive laughter, but is there any way to recover a
deleted account?

Many thanks, oh wise Usenet gestalt.

Unless you actually deleted messages from the IMAP server, the messages
should remain accessible via IMAP. So, that means all you need to do is to
set up the account again in Entourage. Go to Tools -> Accounts, click New,
and set up the account as you wish. The IMAP account will then appear in
the Folder List. Click it, wait for the Folder List to download, and then
find the messages you want. This might be a good time to copy old messages
to a local folder for archival purposes.

However, if you did actually delete messages from your IMAP account and
you're asking how to retrieve those, it's probably not possible. You might
be able to find them in a Deleted folder on the server. Otherwise, they're
probably gone.

I had retrieved the messages from the Imap server because the account
was being closed. Oh well.
