Recovering lost calendar events

I have a MacBook( Intel) running MacOS X 10.5 (Leopard) with Entourage
2004 v. 11.4 on it.

My MacBook has recently been repaired - new HD and new logic board,
and I have been gradually getting it working again, reinstalling OS X
and software. I found My Time Machine backup on external HD wasn't
working properly, but have most things backed up on my husband's
computer.

In re-syncing my iPhone I managed to delete my Entourage calendar by
deleting the Entourage calendars in iCal...

So I have:
1) a backup of my MUD from before the repairs still on my husband's
computer, which will have the calendar events on it - I can easily add
the few recent ones that will not be on it - and
2) my current version of Entourage on my machine with all my emails on
it up to date. I don't want to lose any of the recent messages on
there.

Is there a way that I can restore/create an Entourage identity that
will have my calendar as it is in the back-up version, and will have
all my up to date emails ? I'm wondering if I can do some kind of a
merge so that the resulting identity will have all the data from the
two versions, without, if possible, huge duplications.

Your older database has the most data so make that your primary. Next open
your "new" Identity. You will have to manually move out your data.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

Another option is to use a custom view to get all data starting from the
date you made the change over. You can drag the custom view to the desktop
as MBOX file. For notes and tasks, you can either drag to desktop or export
as Entourage archive (.rge) file. Drag the new files into your primary
source.

Please note, backing the Entourage database to Time Machine can result in
corrupted data. If the database is copied while it is being used, corruption
can result. We recommend excluding Entourage from Time Machine. There are
two alternatives you can use.

Entourage and Time-Machine-like backup (creates chronological backup of
Identity can be used by both Tiger and Leopard allowing you to roll back to
previous dated backups.

Alternative method to use Entourage and Time Machine (does a once a day or
whatever time period you select)
