I was syncing my Palm with entourage and I lost all of my contacts. Is there
a way to retrieve the lost contacts?
Did you lose them in both Palm and Entourage? If not, you can change the
conduit settings to let the Palm overwrite Entourage, or the other way
around depending on where your contacts are missing.
If they are lost in both places I don't really know what can be done. If you
have a backup of your Microsoft User Data Folder your could do the
following:
1 move your current MUD folder to a safe place.
2 Restore the old MUD from your backup.
3 Do a one-way sync (Entourage overwrites Palm) for your contacts only
4 Delete the MUD folder and replace it with the one from step 1.
5 Do a one-way sync and (Palm overwrites Entourage) for your contacts
For safety reasons you may want to set Datebook, Tasks and Memos to "do
nothing" when you do the syncing, particularly in step 3.
