Recurring Appointments Crashes Entourage

Whenever I try to create an Entourage 2008 (running v12.1.4) calendar
event the application crashes and restarts. All other operations
operate correctly. Any suggestions?

Try running the database utility to verify that there is no database
corruption. (Verify; don't repair unless errors are reported.)
