recurring tasks not accepting hours in time sheets

Hi,

I want to know about recurring tasks in project professional 2003 .
if we set recurring tasks then those tasks which are recurring are not open
in time sheet for entering hours or those tasks are not allowing us to enter
hours .

then how the project report will out if the hours are not enter in recurring
tasks

tell me the behaviour of recurring tasks .
