Redraw issue

Running Powerpoint 2003 on a Micron Pentium III 500 Mhz with a Diamond viper
550 video card with 16 megs of memory on it. When you zoom into an image,
the redraw messes up. Is this related to the memory on the video card or
Powerpoint. The older versions works fine.

Hi,

Could be a number of things:

First, you should check for updates via "Help| Check for updates|".

Second, you should make sure you have the latest version of DirectX. That
may not help your current problem, but it is a wise security move. WARNING:
If you have Windows 2000, you MUST have all Service Patches for Wink in
place before doing this (Courtesy of Austin Myers).

Third, you should try adjusting hardware acceleration:

Fourth, update your video drivers. They are the interface between you
program and what you see:

Also, try the general troubleshooting material:

"Don't use PowerPoint for anything serious until you've done this":

If that doesn't solve the problem, at least you have narrowed down the
possibilities Please get back to us so we can progress further.

'messes up' covers a lot of ground, but most redraw issues can be solved
with ...

1) updated video drivers (check the manufacturer's website for updates)

2) Graphics acceleration adjustments.
**How to set graphics hardware acceleration back

Post back if these do not fix the problem.
