How do I convert PowerPoint slides into a poster format so that I can take it
to Kinko's and have it blown up into a poster that can be printed on one
piece of paper?

Thanks

Open a new PPT file, put it in Normal view (View/Normal). Go to File/Page
Setup and specify how big the page (slide) should be, based on how big your
poster will be. PPT has a limit to its slide size (56" maybe?), so if you
need it bigger than that, specify 1/2 the end size. Then tell Kinko's to
print at 200%.***

Open the existing file(s), put it in slide sorter view (View/Slide Sorter).

Copy one slide from the slide sorter view and paste it into the Normal view
using Edit/Paste Special and selecting PPT Slide Object. Repeat for all
slides. Right-click, choose Format Object and size as appropriate on the
Size tab.

***For example, if your finished poster should be 40" x 96", your slide size
would be 20" x 48" and Kinko's would print at 200%.
