register for COM interop flag doesn't work ...

Hi, all.

I am creating an addin in c#.net for outlook using visual studio, and I
set the flag 'register for COM interop' to TRUE. However, the project
build isn't registering automatically... The way for me to register is
to 'Install'. This is not fun. Anybody knows what my problem is?

Hi

I have had a similar amount of pain with outlook addins.

The easiest way is to use the installer that is bundled with visual
studio.

if you don't want to do that then you need to add a section into the
registry in (for me with outlook xp)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins

and also use regasm to register your assembly.
