Hi, John,

I could be mistaken, but I believe there's really no benefit to registering
Office 2000. Registration is optional, and it's not the same as activation,
which Office XP and 2003 require.

What do you mean when you say, "With all the security measures...I am forced
to take care of this." Are you being prompted to validate or something? Are
you getting error messages? Something different? Remember, we can't see
what's happening on your system, so you have to be very specific in your
descriptions.

If you're having problems with Outlook, posting specific information about
the problem and any error messages you're receiving is a good start.

Actually, in some locales and with some versions (in Australia an NZ with
Office 2000 including SP1, I believe) activation was required.

Ah, yes. Thanks. I'd totally forgotten that. I'm glad I qualified my
statement with "I could be mistaken"!

You're welcome. ;o) We are all of us human and we all can't remember
everything! Heck, I live in the state of Permanent Confusion.
