registration number

i bought new software for my old comp after i loaded it, i threw the case
away. i recently bought a new comp, im trying to download it but i dont have
the number. is there a way to get a new number or find out what the number
was w/o the case.

As you've discovered, you should never throw the case away without
making sure that there is nothing on it that should be kept. That
said, if you still have your old PC and the sw is still on it, you can
probably use Belarc Advisor to get the product key.
