Registry Key for Categories

The Value Data for the string "Master List" in Registry
Key HKEY_CURRENT _USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0
\Outlook\Categories has a tendency (from time to time) to
either disappear or not be recognized. I have to
constantly repaste the list (several hundred categories)
back into the Master List. Any ideas why this is happening?

Do you have any compelling reason to directly edit the registry? Did
you find this list in the registry simply by locating it when browsing
the registry? Or did you find any specific documenation from Microsoft
which says this is how you edit this registry setting to do what you want?
My hunch is that by you messing with registry is causing the registry to
get messed with. Unless you have specific documentation to tell you how
these entries used, you'd just be guessing.
