reinstall Entourage

Can anyone give me some pointers on the reinstall of Entourage after a
hard disk crash on my Mac Titanium laptop? I had to reinstall
Entourage (giving me a clean empty program) and all my addresses, etc.
were left in the old program's files which I rescued and are sitting
in a pile on my harddrive.. I am losing it not being able to get to
my old information but can't seem to import old stuff into the new and
Microsoft could care less about helping me... is it as simple as
picking the exact old files and dropping them into the new? If so,
how can I determine which I might need and which I do not? Many
thanks. Christophe from Boulder.

Under OS 9/Office 2001 the correct location for your identity folder is in:

<Startup Disk:Documents:Microsoft User Data:Office 2001 Identities:

Under OS X/Office vX it's:

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/
(where '~/' is your current login's 'Home' directory

Make sure you pout your main identity folder in there, then if you still
can't see it when you restart Entourage, try to change identities (it's
under the File menu) and see if your identity shows up in the list.
