Reinstalling Microsoft - part du

S

Thanks Beth Melton for the EULA. I have student/teacher version with cd. My
problem is that it won't accept my serial number on install on the new
machine. And it looks like MS support organization is unwilling to help as
they told me only 1 license is honored on one machine irregardless if the
first machine died. Is there a contact that can walk me through how to get
past this?
I had the same problem with re-installing Adobe Acrobat but all I had to do
was call and they gave me a new serial number.

Thanks for the help!

If you have Office 2003 Students and Teachers Edition then it can be
installed on three computers.

There really is no way around product CD keys and activation issues
other than to contact Microsoft. To be perfectly honest, it doesn't
make sense that you were told this unless you actually have an OEM
version. I'd call back and direct them to the EULA for Microsoft
Office for Students and Teachers Edition 2003. On page 1 it states:

1.1 Installation and use. You may install a copy of the Software on
three personal computers or other devices in your household for
non-commercial use by people who reside in your household.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.

Is this a retail version of S&T or did you get it with a computer or at your
college bookstore or something like that?
