rejected by server error

here is the message I get every time

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. Server Response: '553 5.1.3 bad address syntax:[email protected];(account:mail.comporium.net') SMTP Server:'smtp.comporium.net'.error number(0x800ccc79

How do I fix this. I know the address is valid-I send to it from work and messages are received.
