Relational hyperlinks in Notes fields

Hi All,
Using MS Proj 2002 Std.
Is there a way to create a relational hyperlink to a document in a Notes
field.
I can insert an Object into the field, but that stores the doc and the size
of the file increases with each document added by a huge amount.
I can also store a hyperlink to a doc and that only increases the size
marginally, but I want to create a zipped file containing the project file
and template word, Xcel, visio and mpp files etc. If the links aren't
relationalf then the links won't work when the zipped file extracted is
copied to their destination drives/server.
I have tried the old dos commands ..\ and .\ in front of the file address
but they don't seem to work and/or MS Project hangs..

Hi All
I may have phrased this poorly.
What I meant to say was, "is there a way, in a Notes field, to create a
hyperlink to an externally stored document, that is "relational"."
Hope this makes more sense, as I would really appreciate a response.
