Relative dates in lists

I have recently upgraded to Office 2004. When I first opened Entourage I
really liked the dividers that indicated by day when I had received e-mail.
For some reason it does not function. I have checked the preferences and the
correct box is selected for this function to be activated. But it does not
work.

Any suggestions?

Switch off the preview pane, or move it to the bottom in the View menu. The
new preview pane at the side view always uses relative dates.
