Relative Pathing odd action in PPT 2007

PowerPoint 2007, Vista Business.
I inserted a bunch of SWF links into PPT via the Action button, and had it
run a program. I repathed all of the links to make them relative.

When I open the PPT initially, none of the links work. However, if I hit the
Save As button, and even cancel, all of the relative links work. Any thoughts
or help would be great!!!

What is the current working folder for PowerPoint when you reset the path?
Check what is the current working folder for PowerPoint just after you hit
Save.

How do I check the current working folder? That's what I thought I was doing
when I hit the 'save as'. It was pathed to the correct place. If I should be
looking somewhere else, or if I need to set it somewhere else, please let me
know.
