remember email addresses

I know that Outlook remembers email addresses which seems to be seperate
from the contacts list. Is there a place where I can access that list to
delete or modify some of the email addresses and names associated with them?

They are in a file with an NK2 extension. You can only access and modify
this file with third party software:

Turn off the "Suggest names" feature in Tools > Options > E-mail Options >
Advanced Email options...
