Remote data query stopped working

Hi,
We have replaced the database server with a new machine
but with the same name. I have a lot of Excel query and
some work but some don't.
The Error message I get is
Connection failed:
SQLState:'01000'
SQL Server Error: 10061
[Microsoft][ODBS SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]
ConnectionOpen(Connect()).
Connection failed:
SQLState:'08001'
SQL Server Error: 17
[Microsoft][ODBS SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]SQL
Server does not exist or access denied

any sugestion.
