Hello All,

I hope you can help. I work in a remote office (states away from HQ). The company uses an exchange server and I currently use OWA to access. As you may know OWA is not full featured in anything but IE, which I cannot run. I am told that the account is setup is POP3. I tried Mail.app to no avail, so in order to be in line with "corporate standards" I went out and gave Microsoft money (shudder). I can't get Entourage to connect via Exchange or POP. I don't have ready access to the IT Department. Is there a tutorial somewhere, or can someone walk me through the setup. I feel stupid. Thanks!

Both Mail and Entourage shouldn't have any trouble with POP. I'm a
little surprised that this would be the protocol of choice they would
have offered though.
I would have guessed IMAP, and then of course Exchange,

Are you sure you can't simply use Exchange for your e-mails?? In
Entourage, use the http address of your OWA server as your Excahnge
server address,

They say that there is no SMTP sever. My IT guy provided the server's IP address and told me to use that. I have verified all SSL and Port settings.

Without an SMTP you will have to use the SMTP server of your ISP to send
e-mails.

Exchange doesn't need an SMTP since e-mails are sent through the
Exchange "connection" directly,

Hi Nick!

Forget POP. If you can access OWA then you can configure Entourage to
connect to your account through OWA. Have a look here:

"Connecting Entourage to an Exchange Server from Home"
<http://entourage.mvps.org/exchange/exchangeathome.html>

While these instructions are for Entourage 2004, they still apply to
Entourage 2008.

Hope this helps!
