Remove Attachments

Is there a way to remove an attachment from an email
without deleting the message? But keep a link or a note
in the email so that the user knows there was an
attachment associated with it...

Thanks.

Open the message, rightclick the attachment and choose remove. You can edit
the message to insert a link to where the file is stored.

There are several add-ins that can do it for you;
