Remove Office 2003 Spell Checker compltely

I am trying to remove the spell checking functionality in Office 2003 for a friend
Every time I run setup and specify to make the checking features "Not Available", it completes the installation "succesfully", but when I use Word, the spelling still gets checked
When I run setup again, it displays the checking features as "Run from my computer"
It doesnt seem to want to uninstall any of the English checking features

Does anyone know how to either uninstall or deactivate the checking features
The machine is going to be used in an exam, so simply disabling the feature in Word is not sufficient. The spelling checker needs to be completely removed or deactivated
