Remove reviewer names in Word 2002

Jude

I am having trouble removing the list of reviewers on an important legal
agreement document template. I have tried accepting all changes and then
unticking each of the track changes options, including the "All reviewers"
option. I've even tried saving under a different name, but the names of
everyone I've sent the document to are still listed. Please help!

Try this: choose Tools - Options - Security, place a check next to "Remove
personal information..." and then save the file. If the list still persists
after that, try opening the file on a different computer to see if the
"memory" of the list is just on that computer.

Hi Herb,

Don't know whether your solution is valid because when I save a Word 2002
document in Word 2003 (on a PC) the reviewer list drops away, anyway.

However - the list is not in memory on the computer - It appears in the
header of the document file itself. Open such a document in Notepad and you
can see your Reviewers' names scattered among the compressed formatting
instructions.

For simple documents with text, graphics and layout that does not use
advanced "Word" functionality, the Word document can be saved as Rich Text
Format (*.rtf), and then reopened and saved again as a Word document. All of
the revision markup and reviewer info will be discarded in the process.

Best regards,

Barry

I too need help with this issue. I don't want to remove the changes, I want
to leave the tracked changes from each author showing. However, I do want to
remove one name from the list of reviewers that appear when you click on
"reviewers." So far no luck, but would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Terri
