Removing an offline Exch2K server from Sys Mgr

Hi all,
I would like to remove an offline Exch 2K server from AD. When I try and
delete it form sys mgr it tells me that there are mailboxes on this machine.
The machine is offline for good so there is no way I can turn it on. Any
ideas would be great.
