removing categories from view

anyone,

i tried using categories to sort my mail within my in-box
but eventually found that it wasn't what i wanted so went
back to just using folders to sort my mail.

however, i'm left with everything in a category "none"
which i don't know how to get rid of.

anyone got any ideas?

You didn't specify what version of Outlook so this will be a bit of a
guess...
Try View | Current View | Customize Current View. Click on "Group By"
and then click the "Clear All" button towards the bottom. OK your way
back out to the view.
