Removing Office Product Key from case

I'm curious. We purchased a retail version of Office Professional 2007. The
case is bulky and likely to get lost. Is there an easy way to remove the
"Certificate of Authenticity" and Product Key from the case to apply them to
the computer? Seems like this would be a typical action, but I can't find
anything about doing it.

Thanks,

Terry

you can write the product key
on the disk with a marking pen
designed for cd's

or

write or laser print the key
on a label and stick it on the disk.

True. In fact, that's what I'm doing. It just seems that I should have the
Certificate of Authenticity with its hologram, rather than a xerox copy of
the label. Beyond some checking on Microsoft's servers, there is nothing
that really shows that the label isn't in dozens of places if all you've got
is a copy.

I really wanted the original label to prove the original version is
associated with the system. (Like the XP/Vista/Whatever labels are put on
your new computer system, only rather than just getting a label, I got the
retail box and want to figure out how to remove the label.)

Thanks for the assist; exactly what I have but not what I really want.
