Removing Signature Before Printing

Unfortunately, I must retain hard copies of all email messages.

This invariably results in my printing 1000s of pages each year
containing only my signature (or a portion thereof).

Aside from being environmentally insensitive, this costs me a lot of
time.

I have been trying to find a way to remove my signature from my
messages after sending but before printing.

Unfortunately, I have not found an answer.

I suspect the solution might involve a script but have not found any
that address this issue.

Any assistance/direction that anyone might provide would be much
appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Probably not a good option, but if you changed the font size for printing
messages in preferences that might get everything on one page.

Just thinking out loud here....save messages as text with script. Use a find
and replace to remove your signature. Then print. You might be able to set
up an Automator action to do this.

Here are a couple of scripts that save as text.

Diane,

Thanks for this.

I try to use a pretty small font as it is; anything smaller might make
reading the hard copy difficult.

Also, I usually file my messages for each client/project and then print
en masse.

Even running a script would be too time consuming if I had to apply it
on an individual basis.

I was hoping to find something like the "remove all attachments"
function that allows me to select a large number of messages and apply
a single command to all at one time.

Are you aware of an "automator" that would do this?

Thanks again (and have a nice weekend).
