Removing words from the standard dictionary

I'm the sort of person who spells role as rôle and I've often wondered if a
mechanism exists to remove the word "role" from the standard dictionary, or
perhaps override it somehow, with my preferred spelling.

Similarly, I never find a use for the word "poser" in my business
communications, but frequently type it in place of "power", with
unfortunate consequences. So I'd remove "poser" from the dictionary as
well.

Is there hope for me, and my Office 2003?

Well other then remove it you could set it to AutoCorrect poser to power an
add the word rôle to your dictionary. When you use Word as the e-mail editor
you can choose Tools-> AutoCorrect Options...

A perfect outcome as far as I'm concerned. Thank you.

I set autocorrect to change "role" to "rôle" and "poser" to "power" then
added "rôle" to my dictionary and I'm happy.

No doubt now I'll have a flurry of mail about posers. I can handle that
one by myself though.
