Renaming Index.htm to Default.asp

While working on a website this evening, I noticed thad during the publish
process, FrontPage published Index.htm which is on my computer as Default.asp
at the host site. What would cause this to happen? It had been publishing as
Index.htm at the web host site up until tonight.

Is it possible that the host (software at the host) renamed the file?

Your provider changed what should be the name of the default page.
