repair or find missing Outlook Icon when Minimized

When using Outlook 2000 SR 1 professional at work, I minimize the Outlook
page and the icon disappears. Sometimes showing up in the right hand part of
the Taskbar. I tried to do the Right Click of the Envelope for Outlook that
at times shows up i in the Right side taskbar tray, but nothing happens.
What has caused the Once usable feature of Minimaizing Outlook to not work
correctly? I have spent hours now searching help books and the Microsoft
help pages for something similar to this issue.
Thank U for whatever help whomever can come up.
Thanks again,

Minimizing to the system tray is something introduced with Outlook 2002, it
did not exist with Outlook 2000.

I'm having a similar problem. Since reinstalling software for a Netgea
wireless network card, (which may be a coincidence) the Outlook 200
Icon doesn't appear at all in my system tray. I'm running OL200
Professional under Windows XP
