replacing fonts between references

I need to turn text: bold, italic between references (i.e. <bold>, <italic>
and <roman>)

Can this be done?

Thanks for the information below.

Just one more question: at the end of the search can I have two different
endings (i.e. <roman> and [return]). Or just do the search manually?
