Reply link between mail messages broken in Entourage 12.1.5

Hi,
Due to an annoying problem I had to remove my exchange account from
Entourage 12.1.5 and recreate it. When all emails where synchronised
again from the server to my client, I noticed that all links between
messages I received and replied to have disappeared. New messages I
received and replied to after this reinstall are linked together as
before.
I verified (and rebuilt) the database integrity and everything seems
fine.
I have over 3000 mails in various folders and now I have lost the
relationship between them.
Is there a solution to restore these links?
thank you very much
Peter

Yes, that kind of information is lost in a database rebuild in Entourage
versions prior to 2008 (which you claim to be using). Entourage should be
able to recognize replies to your messages and recreate the links, but it
will not recognize your replies to messages. I'm afraid that information is
just gone.

See <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/database/rebuild.html>.

That kind of information has been lost in a database rebuild in Entourage
versions prior to 2008 (which you claim to be using). This was supposed to
have been fixed in Entourage 2008, but I don't have any first-hand
knowledge.

(Correcting my previous post which mis-read your version number.)
